Shallowford Falls produces a live news show every morning at 7:50 and broadcasts it through IPTV to the classrooms. Fourth and fifth graders
Students on the news crew need to report to the Broadcast Room in the library every morning of their month by 7:30 am. They don’t need to prepare anything, but they do need to avoid wearing green/teal/light blue shirts on their anchor days. News team members rotate among three jobs: teleprompter, camera/board, and anchor.
All Character Word reporters will do the news every Wednesday. They will need to be in the Broadcast Room by 7:30 am on those days (after checking in with their homeroom teacher). Also, they must email me Tuesday night with their scripts (jennifer.head@cobbk12.org).
All Sports and Spotlight reporters will do the news every Friday. They will need to be in the Broadcast Room by 7:30 am on those days (after checking in with their homeroom teacher). They must email me Thursday night with their scripts (jennifer.head@cobbk12.org). Sports should include local high schools Pope and Lassiter and college/professional sports. Spotlight reports should inform students about upcoming activities at SFES and in the community.
